The properties of quartz glass are as follows:

1. High temperature resistance: The softening point of quartz glass is 1730°C, allowing for prolonged use at 1200°C, with a short-term maximum usage temperature of 1450°C.

2. Corrosion resistance: Except for hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass hardly reacts with other acidic substances. Its acid resistance is 30 times that of ceramics and 150 times that of stainless steel. Especially at high temperatures, its chemical stability is unmatched by any other engineering material.

3. Excellent thermal stability: Quartz glass has an extremely low expansion coefficient and can withstand drastic temperature changes. Heating it to 1100°C and then immersing it in room-temperature water will not cause it to crack.

4. Good light transmission: Quartz glass exhibits excellent light transmission across the entire spectrum from ultraviolet to infrared, with a visible light transmittance of over 93%. Particularly in the ultraviolet spectrum, the maximum transmittance can exceed 80%.

5. Excellent electrical insulation: The resistance value of quartz glass is equivalent to 10,000 times that of ordinary glass, making it an outstanding electrical insulating material. It maintains good electrical properties even at high temperatures.
